Description
The final boss of my homebrew d&d games first arc, & a homebrew creation of mine. Meaning "Child catcher", this creature was a monstrous bat which became oversaturated with magic, becoming what in my world is called a "Bunyip"*; and through its long life it has consumed and retained the traits of hundreds of creatures.
The prehensile tail of a monkey goblin...
The quills of a dire porcupine...
The embryo inflicting claws of a slaad...
The eyes & eye rays of a spectator...
The rows & rows teeth of a bull shark...
The regeneration of a troll...
And even more that didn't manifest as radically. It's the size of a rhinoceros, & has been capturing children from a town, using its bite over & over to create brood.

*(Bunyips are when a creature/Animal becomes oversaturated with magic, and will begin expressing and developing traits from creatures that they consume. These creatures will permanently retain these traits, and can pass on either some of these traits, or all of them, to their offspring. The main danger/ability of Bunyips lies in their bite; when a bunyip bites a creature, it will cause the victim to take on anywhere from one of the traits that the Bunyip possesses, to a trait from every animal the Bunyip possesses one from.)
