King Caesar looks so badass here! It would be awesome if he had at least 2 or 3 movies with him as a protagonist, like the Rebirth of Mothra movies, and maybe he had allies like Mothra, Anguirus, Rodan, etc.!

King C made his first appearance in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. As to his origin, I can't say for sure what Toho had in mind. A solo King Cesar movie would rock.

Don't know if I'd go see a dedicated-Caesar movie, but it is cool that both of the classic Mechagodzilla films featured an oddball 3rd kaiju monster who was never seen again: King Caesar in the first film and Titanosaurs in the sequel.
