If you have the chance to watch the latest documentary about Transformers Animated: Season 4, on Keyan Carlile's Transformers Channel, you'll find that there was a lot of development on what Season 4 could have occurred. One of those ideas was an episode where the roles changed for Optimus Prime and Elita One; a "What If" sort of thing. The story could have been similar to "Along Came A Spider", only that it'll be Optimus turned into a techno-organic transformer; while Elita would become a Prime, thus named Elita Prime. On that video, there are illustrations made by Eric J. Siebenaler, who worked on the development department at Hasbro, and was a collaborator for the entire series; including sketches of Aracnus Prime (as Optimus could have been called) and Elita One, as a Prime, with her vehicle mode based on Lockdown's design. Alas, the cancellation of Transformers Animated, to make way for its successor, Transformers Prime, put an end to the proposed Season 4. On occasion of the 16th Anniversary of the Transformers Animated premiere, on Cartoon Network, a new, updated, version of the documentary features more revelations about this and other episodes that were under development, stuff that no one knew about it, and who knows what could have been revealed. Only one person could have provided the answers, but he's no longer with us: Derrick James Wyatt. Marty Isenberg, who worked in this series as his writer, has been generous enough to share his knowledge, and other people as well.
