After watching the of the new Ben 10 animated series; and reading diary entry about this series, I was compiled to make this painting, in the Omniverse style, of this new reboot. Now, let me ask you this question: How old WERE you, when Ben 10 premiered on Cartoon Network, in 2005? I ask you this because it seems to me that everyone who says bad things about new stuff has something that I called a "GENERATION GAP CRISIS". Most of you, who watched the entire Ben 10 series, including Alien Force; Ultimate Alien and Omniverse, were born around the late 1990's. This generation never watched, or have watched the animation of the mid 1980's onward. Those who lived that time have given their thoughts on the animation that come up in the 90's with disdain and disaproval. This same attitude shows up in the 2000's; and it comes with changes: technological advances in CGI; 3D and 2D ; changes in demographics; the partial lifting of restrictions on material shown on tv,; the TV-Y7; TV-14; and TV-M ratings, based on the content of such programs; and who's aimed at.

Everybody now are saying that the new Ben 10 is trash, based on a bias: the new style of animation doesn't attract them, some reboots, like TTGO and PPG are comedies with a bad taste; and they genuinely think so. Those who make those critics went to the extreme by complaining to the company who makes them, CARTOON NETWORK, complaining about it, and even asking to BRING back what they used to love and like.But, that cannot be done. The people who were involved with the animation work in the past, have to move forward, to do other stuff, because they age. And, there's a new generation of children born between 2005 and 2008, who want to experience something new; and this happens again.

I can only say this: give the new stuff a chance, while we, the youthful generation of the recent past, must share their experiences with the new ones that are coming. For those who like the Ben 10 of the past, show them to the new ones, so they can enjoy it. In that way, they can share it, along with the new Ben 10 Reboot, to the next generation that may come up in the next ten years, and so on. Share the good points, as well the bad points, about what you like or dislike; but don't start bashing or making noise about this thing or another. Everything must go, because it's part of our evolution.

Look at me; I'm 47; I like Anime, but from the start, to the present; I like music from the 70's; 80's; 90's and the present, as long as it have the perfect groove; and I also have my own reservations about good and bad.

This drawing reflects that: I like Ben 10 Omniverse, and I wish a reboot just LIKE I WANT TO SEE. But IT 'LL NEVER HAPPEN. Only Imagination can make that to happen: Make fan art; fan stories; everything; and let those brain juices cook it up.
