Argentina
Oficialmente República Argentina, es un país de América, organizado como república representativa y federal, situado en el extremo sureste y sur de América del Sur. Su territorio está dividido en 23 provincias y una ciudad autónoma, Buenos Aires, capital de la nación y sede del gobierno federal.
El nombre "Argentina" proviene del latín argentum (plata) y está asociado a la leyenda de la Sierra de la Plata, común entre los primeros exploradores europeos de la región, tanto españoles como portugueses. Fueron estos últimos quienes denominaron Rio da Prata (Río de la Plata) al gran estuario descubierto por la expedición portuguesa de 1502 en la que participaba Américo Vespucio y al que luego llegó Juan Díaz de Solís en 1516, llamándolo Mar Dulce.
Himno Nacional Argentino
El Himno Nacional Argentino es el himno oficial de Argentina. Fue escrito por Vicente López y Planes en 1812, y compuesto por Blas Parera en 1813. Originalmente fue denominado Marcha patriótica, luego Canción patriótica nacional, y posteriormente Canción patriótica, una publicación en 1847 lo llamó "Himno Nacional Argentino", nombre que ha conservado hasta la actualidad.

Está basado en el estilo de clásicas estampillas, nacionales utilizado por el correo postal.
Una de las estampillas mas representativas muestra el continente sudamericano, emitida en 1936 (la referencia es Scott #445, Scott uno de los catálogos filatélicos más empleados). Este sello se conoce como, mapa "con fronteras" e incluye las demarcaciones de todos los países del subcontinente.

Argentina
Argentina officially the Argentine Republic, is a federal republic located in southeastern South America. Covering most of the Southern Cone, it is bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, Brazil to the northeast, Uruguay and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Chile to the west and the waters of the Drake Passage to the south.
Argentina is composed of twenty-three provinces and one autonomous city, Buenos Aires. The provinces are organized as a federation, each one with a local constitution.
The name of Argentina, traditionally called the Argentine in English, is derived from the Latin argentum "silver" and the feminine of the adjectival suffix -īnus. The first use of the name Argentina can be traced back to the first voyages made by the Spanish and Portuguese conquerors to the Río de la Plata which means "Silver River", in the first years of the 16th century.
Argentine National Anthem
The Argentine National Anthem is the national anthem of Argentina. The name of the song originally was Marcha Patriótica (Patriotic March), and was later renamed Canción Patriótica Nacional (National Patriotic Song) and finally Canción Patriótica (Patriotic Song). A copy published in 1847 called it Himno Nacional Argentino and the name has remained ever since. Its lyrics were written by the Buenos Aires-born politician Vicente López y Planes and the music was composed by the Spanish musician Blas Parera. The work was adopted as the sole official song on May 11, 1813, three years after the May Revolution; May 11 is therefore Anthem Day in Argentina.
