Look mommy, I joined a bandwagon! This was really fun to do, though. Recapping just what inspires me and WHY and stuff XD So here we go!
The Smurfs At the tender age of eight, I decided that drawing comics was really fun. The Smurfs were my first topic of drawing at that time. I have LOADS of really crappy comics with them. As in... nearly stickfigures or badly eyeballed artwork X3 But it sparked my interest and that's what counts.
Disney Lots of people are inspired by Disney, right? Cannot lie, so am I. Snowwhite has been one of my most treasured animated movies in like... ever. I used to spend HOURS analyzing and studying screencaps so I could figure out how every drawing was made.
Legend of Zelda Oh man, BIG influence X3 When I was about 13, this came into my life and it changed me forever. As in... ANIME... LOTS AND LOTS OF ANIME. I eyeballed official Zelda art lots and lots of times before I got a hang of it on my own.
Rayman And I mean the original Rayman! Before it got 3D. Just like The Smurfs, I have LOTS of Rayman comics and artwork. The most important thing Rayman taught me was to draw hands. Logical, since he has to rely on them XD Best way to draw hands... draw Rayman!
The Last Unicorn I loved this movie as a kid and still love it now. The drawing style is so very enchanting and I love how they used color. Not to mention some of the monsters in that movie left a thorough impression on me. I hope to be able to draw such monsters some day.
Nintendo Just like Zelda, other Nintendo icons have left an impression on me. Mario, Kirby, Yoshi, Starfox, Metroid... All of them. And with that ofcourse the biggest of all: Super Mario RPG X3
Marc Legendre I don't think many people here know this guy (comic artist from Belgium), but OH BOY, do I love his work. Back when I wasn't spoiled by animu, Biebel was my big inspiration. Legendre really knows how to bring absurd and over the top emotion across with expressions and body language. Not to mention idiotic stories and colorful dialogue.
Dragonball Z Right after Zelda entered my life, so did DBZ. Although I've NEVER really drawn anything DBZ-ish in my life, it still influenced me on the aspect of drawing dynamic fights and action scenes. And it was one of the most epic shows I've seen on tv at that point in my life.
Eiichiro Oda Though relatively new to me, this mangaka really changed my style. Since Oda uses Copic Markers just like me, I've opted to study his colored drawings to see HOW he does it X3 Furthermore, I think this guy has just made just about one of the most entangling and epic stories I've ever seen. Not to mention an endless supply of original characters, designs and jokes. If I ever wanted to meet someone, it would be him.
Nicole Dubois Or =Neolucky here. She is a HUGE inspiration to me on a lot of things. Her sexy artwork has been an example for me when I got stuck on a certain pose or bodypart. I also love her coloring skills both traditional and digital and sometimes, I just leaf through my collection of her pictures to see if I can pick up something new for my own style.
Kaoru-chan *kaoru-chan Another DA artist. She is my traditional art guru. Her Copic Marker skills are total madness and I've often gawked at a drawing for a LONG time to see the hows and whys. She also was the inspiration to use less conventional things in a drawing like glitter and stickers.
Ryo Takamisaki A mangaka mostly known for works on for example Rockman.EXE or Pokemon. His work is really expressive and explosive, which is something I also love to draw.
Junko Mizuno Her work is just awesome. Like someone once said "Her drawings adore you and kick your ass at the same time". Mizuno's art has that graphic design feel to it that's both cute and morbid. It may look simple, but if you ever try to draw it yourself.... oh man, it is NOT.
Alphonse Mucha Everyone and their DOG has Mucha in this influence meme XD Guilty as charged. Mucha's art is very decorative, the lines are smooth and fine and I love how he drew hair and clothing. Teaches me a great deal on how to be elaborate.
Shotaro Ishinomori Student of the manga god Tezuka Ozamu and creator of for example Cyborg 009. It certainly is not a cookiecutter example of manga, but it has a charm that I love. It's disney-esque, actionpacked and interesting. Not to mention the design of the characters that just stay in your mind, even if you cannot remember the title of the manga X3
Okay, that is about it, I guess OvO
Enjoy!

Oh man! Last Unicorn is pretty epic. The English version is a little wonky voice-wise, so if you can, watch the Dutch version. It's pretty good <3 The artwork is the reason I love it so much.
And I think I spotted you at Abunai >3
