Description Frankie is testing out his super speed and is quickly overwhelmed by his gift and has an epic crash, skinning his hands and knees on the asphalt (I've done this more times than I care to recount, so I KNOW it hurts like hell!) after clumsily tripping over his own feet. His cousin, Morgan (daughter of Duncan Douglas), who is a few years his elder, often babysits him when Frankie ventures outside alone just to be sure that he has SOME kind of supervision.. Also, Morgan and Frankie have grown up together and act more like brother and sister than anything. The irony of Morgan being the elder 'sibling' like Duncan was to Dexter/Freakazoid is not lost on anyone so it's neat to see the same sibling dynamic between Frankie and Morgan, only that the two love each other like crazy and aren't always squabbling/fighting like Duncan and Dexter did when they were younger (Duncan and Freak still like to carry on and argue with each other but it's mostly just out of fun and because they're brothers, that just means that they like to give each other a hard time ANYWAY. They get along better as adults than they did as kids, 'nuff said!). Still, it's nice to see that the kids are so close- pretty much inseparable. Morgan and Frankie are both very mature and bright for their ages, but Frankie is overwhelmed by the pain of road rash and reverts back to how a child of 7-8 years of age would react to such an incident. Cry and demand the attention of his beloved parents to make his pain go away. and of course, Mama Freakazette is home when Morgan shows up with Frankie riding piggy back and bawling like a baby. Within an instant, the tears are dried and Frankie is once again energetic, smiling and laughing because pain and sadness never lasts very long in the loving home of the 'Zoid' family. ^_^

The voices of these characters are as follows:

Frankie Zoid // Shia Labeouf

Morgan Douglas // Mae Whitman (Mae was also the voice of Katana from Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Freakazette aka Erie Lindemann // (singer/pianist) Regina Spektor

Duncan Douglas // Liev Schreiber

(if you're curious about what other characters have which voices, here's an article I posted some time ago for future reference: "The Voices of "Integration") :: vegechan.deviantart.com/journa…

AWWWWWWWWW~! This is just precious!

This makes me wanna give poor Frankie a big hug and make him feel better!

(I scraped my hands and knees quite a few times when I was around the age he was in this pic, and it hurt like a B*TCH, so I know exactly how he feels! )

Vegechan? Heads up? You are about to get snuggled. For, like, half an hour min, because THAT WAS ADORABLE!!! Not the pain part, but the way the kids interacted, and Erie's lecture/explanation/'I love you and want to see you safe' talk... All the warm fuzzies, Vege. All the warm fuzzies.
Also, can we take a moment and recap on how awesome you art style is? Because, seriously, wow, it's so flexible and dynamic. Some styles focus more on one aspect - scary, cute, lovey-dovey - but yours just goes 'oh, need to do a different genre now? Yeah, totally got that covered' and continues on its awesome way. And... I really kinda love how your 'sketches' like this one look, without colour, not entirely drawn in. In my opinion, doing a comic book in this style, no cleaning, no colour, would be seriously epic. Colour would also be great, but, seriously, your pieces like this one carry so much energy and emotion, part of me just wants to go 'NO, DON'T TOUCH THEM, THEY'RE PERFECT ARGLE-BLARGE' and run off with them and maybe sit on someone in publishing until they make them into an art book. And then take a couple copies over to DC and Marvel and the other big places and go 'THIS IS HOW YOU DO COMICS!' And then they'd hire you and everyone would stop complaining about the way men and women are displayed in comics, because it would be fixed. ...except then you would be super-busy, probably, and you'd have less time to work on stuff like this... o_o
...I may have fantasied myself into a corner here...
Whatever. You are awesome. Your art is awesome. Your story is awesome. Your characters, OC and non-OC, are awesome. All the awesome.
