A pretty quick one, wanted to try a more earthy palette. 🌳🌿

I imagined the little creature around his bow to be a forest spirit that he has bonded with. He doesn't actually aim the bow, but rather trusts in his familiar to guide the arrow. The tiny story I came up while drawing him is this:
Every elf born in this forest bonds with a spirit when they are still a child and they become telepathically linked. They never use "I" when talking, always "we", they don't remember a time when they were separate beings. The spirits make the elves formidable archers and in return the elves protect the forest. If the spirit is to be killed however, the elf is banished, the forest itself turns against them for failing to protect one of its children. The rest of the clan are generally sympathetic, but also turn their backs on the newly exiled as to not incur the forest's wrath themselves.
