1st Picture of 2013!!! A bit nervous

Got distracted >__< and started scrolling through Deviant Art and seen some pretty killer Original Digimon concept art. I figured I need to step my game up if I want to have a good comic. So yeah I have been avoiding drawing Armor/Mech crap for the longest but if I am gonna follow through with this comic I’m gonna have to learn how to draw the stuff. Most Ultimate and Mega forms are Armor/ Mech-ish.

With that being said I have decided to take a step back from the comic for a second. Why? Because It's kinda hard drawing the pages with no character reference and if I keep on like that I will have MANY continuity errors... Such as this
The face is correct however the body is not... That's what I get for rushing. Yes that is the same character
Figured I'd just go ahead and throw this out there because I'm moving at a snails pace with this project.
I hope he looks cool…

I present Advent Gaogamon. This is my first time trying stuff like this (Armor, lighting effects)
Thinking him up wasn't that hard it’s only a plus that I am currently on a Kamen rider (toku) binge right now. Helps me get inspired with this type of stuff. I didn't know how much detail goes into this stuff.

Holy crap and to think the comic has 4 more of these guys and a girl X__x

I used MirageGaogamon and burst mode as refs. I really wanted to make him Blue and yellow like MirageGaogamon but because of the vertical strips he ended up looking like a X men so I had to scrap that color combo.
Ended up going with Black red and yellow
I am a sucker for Kamen Rider Faiz's design and the colors match his digivice anyways.

I wanted the soul flame thingy to kinda look like this
Hmmm... not really there yet but it's my 1st shot.

This was incredibly difficult to color but it's a start in the right direction.
