Description So Gryphonworks has been obsessed with Portal lately, and convinced me to play. I'll admit it's a pretty neat game. Since she likes the game so much, I decided to make a companion cube for her.

Each edge measures 2.5 inches with each piece at 1/8 of an inch thick. Yes I measured each and every single piece. It took 3-4 days to complete...@_@.

The hearts are too small, but she wanted them that size.

Pic on the right is the keychain she made.

It makes for a good paper weight

Hope you like it, Brian .

Made with Super Sculpey 3 and acrylic paint.

Your friend could use a pasta machine to flatten clay..beats rolling it out yourself @_@...

And don't wrap it around styrafoam! ><

Let me know if your friend succeeds in making one ^^. If not, I'll see what I can do to help P:

You realise that, if you put those things into production, you would sell a lot of them to Portal fanatics? Even more if you put in a chip loaded with sound clips of WCC wisdom and love.

A nice job. I assume that it is made of thermo-formed plastic and then just painted up to resemble the colour scheme in the games. One /minor/ quibble (and it is pretty petty really) is that the heart logo is a bit smaller than in most of the images I've seen. It needs to be maybe about one third bigger. That aside, it is a good job.

D'oh! I note that you actually /discussed/ the materials, method and logo in your notes. Serves me right for looking at the pretty picture and not reading the nice sculptor's comments. Sorry about that!

I thought it was illegal to make money off copyrighted stuff O_o...

I actually tried to make one that was wrapped around a styrofoam cube to give it a better shape...but I didn't know styrofoam expands when it's heated, so it blew up on me . I blew up my companion cube T-T.

The sound clips are a good idea, thanks I could probably do something about it, since the cube is hollow .

Thanks for your comment ^^
