I'm going to drop this comment on LJ, too, so I hope you don't mind the repeat... (though I'll say this... I don't see what not-sleeping really means by needing more contrast. Personally, I think it's done pretty well, especially since there's not any evidence that Brody's sitting in a place with dramatic lighting.)
I really, really like it. I like the sly expression on his face. I like the colors, even if you do say that they've been washed out by the scanner. Don't you just hate scanners? Grrr! I love your take on his hair, too... it's less of a solid lump like -I- normally do. It's great. Thank you SO VERY much! It was well, well worth the wait. I'm grinning!!

Drawing this was a bit of a challenge, because... how can I explain... Often the reference pictures are drawn in some anime-inspired style, or just generally far from mine, so it's natural that when I draw the character they look quite a bit different, but your style is relatively similar to mine. So instead of being able to pull the "just a different style"-card I had constantly the feeling my version is off somehow
But anyway (or maybe because of that) I enjoyed drawing this a lot, once I got working on it
