Maybe you know this tool already, but I've used this site called Paste Bin for some note templates for a group I collaborate with and I find it quite simple to use and good for our purposes. 
It's off-site, I know, but it's better than nothing.

Chris, I have been told you can upload documents into Sta.sh but I haven't tried it yet.Β Maybe a Notes file would work?Β Β I don't know what literary artists are supposed to do.Β I'm worried all the params I already have will disappear.Β Β
DA is so stupid to be forcing Eclipse before it is completely finished.Β

I guess I might try cutting and pasting in note first and then Word and making it a pdf file.Β Such a hassle.Β I don't think I will be uploading much of anything anyway.Β Eclipse hurts my eyes and it's so frustrating it just isn't the pleasure it used to be.Β I waiting to see if the developing site works out, but that's going to take awhile.Β Β

I was about to leave an enthusiastic comment on your knowledge sharingΒ Β (I do, btw!!) but the Eclipse setback threw some cold water down my back . dA won't take the hint when there is only a small percentage of users migrating to the new version! Oh, well... Thank you, anyway.

I just shared the journal about the 3-day silent protest against Eclipse and also signed the petition. I don't think either will make any difference but I don't believe in passively accepting impositions either.

There is just one problem: sta.sh cannot be used if in Firefox the settings do not allow cookies by third parties.

Oh. This is an area I don't know much about, I'm afraid.
I wonder if it would help to have deviantart.com on your "exceptions" list? I don't know if that covers 3rd party cookies, though. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

The exceptions list ist only for "normal" cookies. However, it is possible to change the settings just for sta.sh, upload the params and then change the settings back. I shall have to try it occasionally to see if it works!

Excellent tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to write this, Chris. I hope that an increasing number of fractal artists will adopt this technique.
Although they are the exception, I have scrolled through Ultra Fractal parameters that are as much as 30% larger (in total number of characters) than the United States Constitution. That gets a bit tiresome when attempting to view all the recent image uploads of any fractal art group.

I'm sure this will help some people, Richard, particularly the ones who have not used their Sta.sh area yet. It can be a little intimidating at first. This might give some the impetus and/or confidence to have a stab at it. We shall see.
