Our Pooka, I think, pre-dated Pikachu/s ...

And - our Pooka was named after the ancient Celtic mischievous spirits - pwca - was so appropriate for his beautiful personality As well as after Jimmy Stewart's bunny-friend in the film, "Harvey" ...
