205B: Mermaid PantsAnd with this one, I ALSO dunno what to say for sure. This episode is basically about Spongebob and Patrick role playing as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, and then Sqquidward, unwillingly, and Mr. Krabs joining in later as villains.
This episode does have STP elements to it. Minor ones, yes, but they're there. And the Krusty Krab is destroyed once again for no real good reason. But for some reason, to me, it just feels like harmless fun. Nothing was intentionally done in any sort of malice or deliberate disadvantage to anyone, nor did it put me off like in Employee of the Month.
The narrator was hilarious. The action was nice. The old man twist was great.
Really my only issues were what I just said, and the lowlight of course. But all of them are just minor, harmless fun.
It's... kinda like the show is making fun of its darker days... Is this gonna be a recurring theme in Season 10? That would be pretty funny to be honest...
