Owl's eyes, gazing forward, drawing the attention to the details around the face, giving the owl a sense of quietness and peace. Or perhaps of lurking.

Owls are my favourite birds and I enjoyed painting this little owl with oil paints on a smaller canvas. I really wanted to capture the depth with the blues, yellows and red tints. This little painting really helped me to learn oil paints and I enjoyed how they blend with each other. I opted for predominantly dark and moody color palette, evoking the ambiance of a nocturnal life. The owl's feathers are a blend of earthy browns and subtle grays, providing a harmonious contrast with the dark backdrop. Deep black and sharp highlight give a mesmerizing effect.
