I dont know what you mean by OSL though... I even googled and only found "Outside Lands" kind of art festival thing and a bunch of unexplained acronyms on websites XD

LOL sorry, OSL is a technique in miniature painting, it means Object Source Lighting, and I was referring to how the light reflects off the surfaces of the character.

Oh I get you  I can see how it looks like a trick of the light reflection! I was kinda going for something close to Sting from LOTR because the client gave me reference images of her Jedi Knight in SWTOR so I wanted to kinda make her sword lightsabery haha

Thank you so much I would love to show you how I do mine sometime. Im not very good at doing tutorials (because I am better at showing than telling), but I stream sometimes. Just say "Hey Im that person that was learning how to do metal" or something lol. Hopfully I remember. I have a terrible memory.

General tips: try out those streaky shines in different directions until you like it. Layers, so many. and make a kind of thin outline along the outer edge of every object thats shiny. It really helps make it pop.
