Description
This marvelous image was inspired by a She-Hulk storyline from 2005. The Champion of the Universe had given the Infinity Gem of Power to the villainous Titania, greatly increasing her already formidable strength. She-Hulk had also recently reached new levels of strength while training for a fight against the Champion that ultimately ended in his defeat. The two women battled throughout New York City, but Titania’s use of the power gem – affixed to her forehead – proved too much for the Jade Giantess to handle.
A sensational piece of work commissioned by me from the extraordinary .
She-Hulk and Titania are characters created by Marvel Comics.

Sensational. If it got more complicated, they would be stuck together and fight for control of their body.

It's a excellent piece of art. Shame it makes She-Hulk look like a wuss. I remember that story and Jenny would never give up and start crying like little girl (atleast that what it looks like). So personally. I can't say that I like it.
Still, cool how the lighting is green on one side and orange on the other.

I completely understand your viewpoint, although the image isn't meant to convey that She-Hulk is giving up. Despite putting up a valiant struggle (as evidenced by the battle wounds on her nemesis), Jen is now trying to endure the agony of having her rib cage crushed by a villainess with extraordinary gem-enhanced power. Yes, the artist took the liberty of including what appear to be tears – but they're generated by excruciating pain, not frustration or defeatism.
I'm glad you appreciate the artwork, and I agree that the green vs orange lighting was an excellent touch. Thanks!

That's an interesting idea. Could even the Hulk withstand the incredible strength of a super-villain with the Gem of Power? Hmmmmm.....

I have that story in the tradeback form. Titania is my favorite She-Hulk rival.

Mine too! Unfortunately, she’s underrated and often portrayed as a second-tier villain. Titania may not be a criminal mastermind but she’s formidable enough that you’d think she would be utilized in higher-profile ways. I’m especially frustrated that Marvel seems incapable of adequately depicting a sustained toe-to-toe battle between these two characters. In the Gem of Power storyline, She-Hulk was easily overmatched and the fight – though destructive – was fairly quick. Many previous confrontations were relatively short and typically one-sided in Shulkie’s favor. In the most recent (now cancelled) She-Hulk series, issue #11 was FINALLY dedicated to a lengthy battle with Titania – but despite some inventive use of panel space, the style of art looked like a bad cartoon and I just couldn’t derive a lot of pleasure from it. Hopefully the right elements will come together at some point in the future.
