Description

With 2 Oscar wins and over a billion dollars collected, I don’t have to explain why Frozen is awesome. One thing that make it awesome is Elsa; one the most unique heroines that Disney ever had. She instantly became one of my favorite characters.

Let It Go

The song itself is incredibly profound and relatable. For anyone who has ever had to hide an important part of themselves: an awkward secret, a non-conventional decision, an embarrassing job, an unaccepted relationship…they know exactly how Elsa feels.

Unlike all the other princesses (or female Disney character before her), Elsa’s isolation is self inflicted. Over coming your inner fear is harder than facing the cold world. To see Elsa’s fears melt away and finally accept who she is an important message.

Introverted

I think the introverted heroine is often depicted wrong. They are shown as nerdy, quite, weird, submissive, etc. All the female characters in previous movies are outgoing, talkative, adventurous, and impulsive; much like Elsa’s sister Anna. Compared to the adork-able Anna, Elsa is always dignified and composed. But she is also rational, loyal, and outspoken.

Introverted does not mean unsocial. Elsa has a fun playful side and but when she opens up she still remains clam and collected. Elsa’s strength of character gives her something many characters lack: maturity. Just because you are not the life of the party doesn't mean you are boring.

Sophistication

First, (not that it should matter), but Elsa is gorgeous! Her design is absolutely flawless. The dress, the hair, the colors, the makeup, her voice, the attention of detail, EVERYTHING!

But it’s not just her physical beauty… her poise, her grace, her intelligence, her inner strength, etc. There is just a certain sense of elegance to Elsa; everything she does has a touch of class. There’s nothing wrong with letting your hair down, but there is nothing wrong with being a lady.

Powerful

Let get one thing straight: Elsa is not a Disney princess…she’s a QUEEN. And a worthy queen. The way she carries herself commands respect. Personally I think Elsa reminds me of Mufasa (Lion King) with a touch of Kida (Atlantis). She has that intangible leadership quality. She is diplomatic, wise, and caring.

Speaking of powerful… she created an eternal winter. She can bring her snow/ice/frost creations to life, she built a castle of ice, and she can control the weather. If that’s not cool (pun intended) I don’t know what it.

Single

Elsa doesn't need a man to define her. Enough said.

Finally a movie where someone addresses the problems with “love at first sight” or love that turns into marriage in days. We all have that friend that gets involved with the wrong person…what we all need a friend like Elsa to save you from making bad decisions. Elsa’s views on love are pretty progressive for a Disney heroine. Pursuing love is only worthwhile when that love itself is worth pursuing (like these couples: venonsting.deviantart.com/art/… ).

Nice Job I ALWAYS imagine that THIS was someone who was REALLY in need of PROFESSOR X  from X-MEN!  And not only because of her powers  but to also help her realize that ANNA  was lost without her

This drawing is gorgeous and I really like your lists of reasons why she's awesome <3 I hate it when people say they need Frozen 2 to have Elsa falling in love. I think I'd have a heart attack and/or die of sadness if that happened I don't even want Frozen 2 to happen unless they can make it REALLY good. I'd just be happy with something like Tangled Ever After with Anna and Kristoff's wedding <3

Thank-you. Elsa was was character that I immediately fell in love with. She's a great role model in every way and mainstream media doesn't have enough characters like her.

Exactly! ^^ Love is great, but I think people should leave Elsa alone. Ship her with any character you want  (Hans and Elsa REALLY bothers me though), but leave it out of the movie(s)!

I agree. I don't want Elsa to end up with someone, it takes away her uniqueness. I don't like the idea that she needs a man to get a "happily ever after". If they make a Frozen 2 I still want it to be about her relationship with her sister.
Also not many movies show that siblings can be your best friends. It's usually a "token" friend with no real impact to the story, or some parent or parental figure that the character looks up to, or the lovable sidekick/animal best friend. Anna has Olaf, Kristoff has Sven. I like Elsa strong and independent. Some of the best parts in the movie are when Elsa is by herself.

If there had to be some kind of Frozen continuation, it could be a "Tangled Ever After" kind of short about Anna and Kristoff's wedding. There could be Anna and Kristoff adorable dork romance, Anna and Elsa awesome and super cute sisterly bonding, Olaf and Sven adventures (alone and with each other), cute songs like maybe a reprise of Do You Wanna Build a Snowman with mostly Elsa singing it, and more! I'd hate to see (in any movie), someone else with powers (Anna w/ fire, Kristanna's child w/ ice, etc), Jack Frost at all (never saw Legend of the Guardians, but I'd rarher not have any crossovers at all), or a love interest for Elsa. Maybe other stuff.
