This render is actually a bit old, my general settings are different now. I basically use a combination between a mask, SSS shader and translucency. I plan to make a bunch of tutorials for my Patreon for like $1 monthly or so.

The skin looks so real, it's incredible! Is this the shader you mentioned you've been working on?
A little side note, I think the eyewhites could be a tiny bit darker at the corners (imho, the corners draw a liiiittle too much attention), but that's complaining on a high level. Gorgeous piece!!
