and i now realize that i have no idea what the underside of a bridge looks like, lol, which can probable explain the horrid perspective in this pic... but ala, not the horrible anatomy! lol, i wanted to try an angle i rarely use... and i now understand why i rarely use it! oh well...this is mamimi from FLCL, and i know that i am posting this drawing a wee bit late, but hell, both Droid and I are posting late today!... and thus ends anime week!

The split finger refers to the lips of the vagina since there's a split down the middle. The metaphor itself is a joke. "I see a split finger fastball" meaning I can see her vagina.

i dont live near any bridges that i can access the underside of, and im assuming they would not look like freeway overpasses seeing how its a street bridge, i really dont know, lol. And yes she is, but i suck at drawin panties, so i blacked that part out

I think it looks great, that perspective really packs a punch. Tell me, do you plot your persepctives out before hand, or do you just freestyle sketch it out until it feels right? I'm trying to expand my draing from static to more dynamic poses, and I'd love to hear any tips you have on perspective. You seem to have nailed it with this one.

really, its hit or miss for me, sometimes if im on my drawin table i have space to make a reference point for the vanishing point, this one was done on a small clipboard so i kinda had to wing it... um... as far as perspective goes, one thing that helps is just draw a bunch of line work ( which i REALLY NEED TO START UP AGAIN, lol) to get used to where characters should fall on a background... one thing that REALLY helped me s this... try going to your local art store and see if they have animation supplies, if they do look through them for a small grid that has a hug x on it, its meant for animators to keep track of the positioning of the charaters, BUT with a backlight, it makes a GREAT tool for perspective reference.. i'll try to find what they're called!

The perspective looks really good, and I love me some FLCL. The background looks good, although, from the angle, I'm not sure you'd be able to see the iron in the distance. Yeah, the face looks a little odd transitioned from FLCL's style to yours, but it's still good.

You're holding up really well in this competition.
the anatomy ain't so bad, and the foreshotening has worked well, but - and i know this is kinda your thing - the breasts do now seem unusually large. maybe it's just the perspective but they kinda look like they're loking back at me O.O
