Would it be possible to use your drawing for cover art on an e-book? Please let me know.

oh wow this is really nice! i especially love the shadows and the sort of feeling the drawing evokes....actually the only thing i can even think of to help you is the roots could use a little more shadow and definition, and a few of the outermost branches need to be thinned to come to a point but great job!

Yeah, those roots are a flat, boring problem xP I removed more than half of the rootwork from the original when I scanned this. It's the first page of a kind of thick book, so it scanned... well you know how books scan. blurry and shadowy. I've digitally replaced the blurry paper with white, well-scanned paper, and unfortunately most of the roots disappeared The lesson here is to not draw where I know it won't scan.
But I don't know about the need to thin branches, maybe if the tree was alive and well and stuff. I wanted a more thick look for the branches left on a tree that's been dead for so long I really don't know what the heck I'm doing with these damn trees though, so maybe you're right. It's google time for "dead oak" again
Thanks!

I like the dark feeling that comes across - despite that the picture in itself is fairly light in colour. *fav*

thank you! ;;/
I like drawing trees. I just wish I found more 'use' for the finished pictures if you know what I mean? Every time I try drawing scenes they're either inside or in more urban settings.
Or they feature Xarther doing his laundry. I am so happy I no longer have that image in my posession... I THINK
