Description Finally..
Olivia Wilde, the woman with the most beautiful face in my opinion. No single stain, perfect nose, perfect cheekbones and breathtaking eyes.

This pic drove me crazy. Never worked that hard for a pencil drawing on reference. So much planning, so much experimenting. "How dark is the darkest tone?" "Am I able to create focus?" "Is her face actually HER face?" "Will it look shitty if I rubber over the whole pic for creating unsharp blades of grass?". Questions over questions, so much thinking. This piece was actually work.

But nevertheless I'm happy how it turned out. I thought the sharp and unsharp areas would create a more powerful effect, but that's ok. I'm happy with the background, with her nose and mouth. Only thing I could have done better was hair and her stunning eyes. Dont know why, but somehow the hair looks just sloppy drawn and without details, allthough it looks very similar on the reference. And the eyes dont have the impact I wished they have. But hey, I'm still learning, can still improve. I'm content.

Time approx.: 30hrs+
Drawn with reference; on a DinA3 white paper with 2B-8B pencils

*daumen*

[link]

yep, collageatrois also meant that she looks like Susan Dey (the woman in your link) but only when looking at it in thumbnail size. I agree
Thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate it

Wow. Stunning. At first I thought it was Susan Dey - not a shot at your work - just that the two actresses look similar in thumbnail size. I could stare at this for hours. And the eyes just pop. I love how you've done the blurring to make it look like an actual portrait.

There needs to be a better category than 'favorite' cause this makes my other favorites not seem so favorite anymore.

Thanks a lot for those words, faves and badges!
Yeah I totally agree, she definitly looks like Susan Dey in thumbnail size. Unfortunately I've noticed a few times yet that pictures have a completely different mood / expression when zoomed in/-out.

Your last sentence is really one of the most stunning compliments I've recieved so far - allthough it does not mean that I enjoy enjoy decreasing the impact of other works in your favourite collection
