hello! this is a new species of mine called CACTID.

cactid are currently CLOSED

they are somewhat amphibian, somewhat mammalian, but all succulent/cactus!

they are called cactid, but they are really based off of succulents (almost all cacti are succulents but not all succulents are cacti, so this gives them more variety than just being cactus-based).

MORE IMPORTANT INFO:

-a cactid can feature multiple species of succulents! currently i am limiting this to three for common cactid, any more is rare
-edit: common cactid can have a small tuft of "fur" on their heads! but only a small one, please
-they do not have dog/catlike noses, they have noses similar to that of rabbits, but it is always a different color, giving a slight illusion of a dog/catlike nose
-their skin can be smooth and rubbery or velvety with fuzz
-the "fur" is actually very very fine plant fiber, as found on most cacti
-they can have succulents/cacti anywhere on their bodies in addition to butt and head!
-they can have ambiguous spines/spikes/bumps/etc. anywhere as well
-their claws are retractable!
-they usually live in desert biomes, though they can roam anywhere they please
-they are impervious to heat and drought
-because they never overheat, they love wearing accessories and clothing!
-they can also be represented in a more anthropomorphic form (in which even regular cactids are allowed to have full heads of hair!)
-they can be any colors and with any markings, though their base color is most commonly greens, yellows, tans, browns, whites, grays, and blacks
-they can have horns, though it is not very common. these horns are either succulents or spines
-their tails and ears can be based off of ANY succulent (cacti included!) so don't limit your imagination! there are lots of different kinds, including flowering varieties!
-they can have different body types (i.e. muscular, lanky, chubby, etc.) so long as their basic anatomy is the same
