verion and quasiphasic collab [link]Refinement 'description ' '
[before civilisation]
In the farthest corner of the rainforest, unidentified and mysterious energy plagues throughout even its darkest regions.
Or so it was estimated. The universal truths, however, care little for the sensibilities of the individual. What seemed impossible to one, drew breath in the mind of some greater force- the establishment of some grander purpose, of which one could not simply gauge it's credibility through any conventionally devised means. One could embrace the veracity of it or doubt it, to no avail. The former proved much easier, then- perception ever foremost amongst such verdicts. Splayed before but a few tidbits of energy, scattered against the backdrop of a dormant volcano. A meagre discovery to most, but he knew better. In reality, they embodied a beacon to a much greater source of power- one to be garnered and manipulated by those of the right mind and technology. He deemed himself exemplary of either. And so, with not a moment's hesitation, he set his ship down to scrutinize further this momentous discovery.....
Within a matter of months, a sizeable - yet hidden - mine had been dug deep into the heart of the rainforest. Deeper it grew every day as more and more of the precious, and most potentially volatile energy was discovered. First small puddles, followed by slow flowing streams as the core of the Earth grew closer. And still, the aliens greed and thirst drove them on to ravage the planet further, to literally take the life force of the planet. But soon, the planet would strike back… After more than 30 solid years of taking from the planet, finally the energy ran dry. Somewhat disappointed, the aliens abandoned the planet - and it’s lack of civilisation - leaving only a machine embedded deep into the solitary moon of the earth. This machine, was christened ‘The Creator’ - and was given full control of the hidden mining operation. If any more of this energy reared it’s head, the process would soon start all over again, and the earth, would be ravaged of it’s life force once more.
…..[modern day]
Watched over diligently by it's time old creator, the energy slowly grew, pulsing ever more vibrantly with each passing day. Its power was growing stronger, perhaps too much for the creator to control and harvest safely. An energy of such magnitude could almost be considered alive, it breathed the dense air around it, the unrecognisable particles which flowed freely across its ever expanding form as blood would through human veins. As it was programmed to, the creator sent for it’s own creators and programmers, to investigate, and collect on their sizeable bounty of the purest energy. But, their discovery had grown too big for even an advanced civilisation such as themselves to control. They must flee, and soon… The energy had such raw power pulsating throughout it. They fled the buildings, and abandoned the harvesting plant. Leaving it in the rainforest while the extra-terrestrials waited in despair for the day it would expand past the rainforest, and surely lay waste the earth. They decided to leave the planet altogether, and let it refresh itself.
Dinosaurs now walk the earth once more, and history is doomed to repeat itself, the energy, once 'cleansed' the planet, now lies dormant, until tampering hands play with a force that cannot be controlled.

it has lots of depth, great shapes... but i dont like the way it was put together, the randomly scattered matrix extruded pannels just seem to clash with everything else

first off let me say that this looks amazing, so the critizism i am about to give does not mean i dont like this peace. i love it.
#1 the blur in the foreground to give a sense of depth is a great idea, and works in this peace, but not nearly as well as it could. there is a blur tool that comes with KPT5 that can simulate a cinematic type of out of focus blur, and would have worked a lot better then the good old gaussen blur
#2 its too dark
but besides that, its wonderful

my guess is that the blurry render in the front is suppose to be that way. like when you got something right in front of your eyes, but you're focused in something far away. hard to explain.
very nice callab. gj
