Description
Ok, now we're ready to do the armor, oh boy!Step 6:
Use cool colors 1 and 2 shades darker than your base armor color to accent your highlights.
So I used a cool gray 20% for the base armor color. I then used cool gray 40% on the line closest to the highlight, then followed it with a cool gray 30%.
Also you'll notice, like with the trim, I placed darker cool grays in some areas without highlights. This will add to the metallic look later.
Hope this is making sense still!

Did you use markers to make those grey tones. I didn't think such a thing was possible.

Yeah. I have a set of cool grays and warm grays that range from 10%-70%. I like to use the cool grays for anything metallic and the warm grays for toning clothing, flesh, fur, etc.

I'll give it a shot, do you just want them in a standard pose, nude, clothed,?

sorry for the late reply, bust with work at school... but, a standard pose, but with clothes. At the same time maybe showing a bit of skin(only showing skin on the female). and maybe if you can during your spare time an action pose? thanks for the reply too, and keep up the amazing art!

thanks for showing me him! he's got a very interesting style, sorta "manga'ey" but reminds me of marvel comics too... (if that makes any sense...) and i forgot to mention this earlier, maybe in a more realistic style? (my love is for manga, but its easier to learn basic anatomy, right?)

Ok, I'll try to do a little more 'realistic' but his basic anatomy is right on. thought you'd like his stuff.

The darker shade really makes the highlights pop out well. I may not be an artist but I can say this is a very detailed tutorial. Keep rockin'

Thank you. Yeah, me personally, i like it when someone breaks down what they're teaching in small parts, its easier for me to grasp.
