Updated June 5, 2011:Redid downsizing. Turns out that's one thing SAI is bad at.
Nei from the oldskool game Phantasy Star II.
Alt: None. This is a one-off, see below.
A remake of the first request I made on DA , where I asked for far too much which was rightfully disregarded. This is the pose I had in my mind's eye at the time.
Focus of this pic was experimenting with SAI and downsizing a large canvas to make coloring easier. On the way I learned more about eyes too.
The character Nei is property of Sega.

Nei~ oh gosh, it's been so long since I've last seen anything Phantasy Star related--- well, from the old games at least.
The picture looks really nice as well... well, the feet are a -tad- too big, but they are nicely drawn otherwise, and I absolutely love her face and expression.

Haha, with this being nearly 3 years old I could say the same thing. 
This pic is a mixed symbol for me now haha. Much of it just looks so silly to me now, but other parts are the first time I learned to do some things the way I still do them. You're quite right about the feet though, I was of the mindset they should be about head-sized which doesn't really work in a disproportionate anime style.

That looks very good man, the shading and lack of lines on her soles really make that lower portion appear like cel shaded 3D.

It's cool! The second version from saving it differently is a nifty coincidence, because the two versions broadly correspond to her original colour scheme and the altered one for the PS2 Sega Ages remake.
