Well it certainly wins points for trying to be ambitious and wanting to re-tell a classic fairytale, but from what I've understood, it tripped over itself and critics seized on it like, well, wolves.

But I'm here to give my thoughts on your costume and the photo itself. It certainly gives off that aura of little girl turned beautiful, independent woman, and the costume you've designed reflects that nicely. But sweet mercy, that cape of yours must be a nightmare to travel around in, just from the length alone. Seeing the length from a different perspective, that's just being invited to be torn apart by people stepping all over it (assuming you'll show it off in future). Just for your safety and everyone else's, consider cutting the length a bit. With that said however, it does make for a strong shot that'd look right at home as a movie poster.

The dress and hair looks rather pretty and the winter-type background allows your outfit to shine really well. Overall, I'd say you've done a solid job recreating the costume, proving that you don't always have to follow the popular or most-recognised costumes, but sometimes it's simply about what looks good. Keep up the fine work!
