Description
In the spirit of Halloween I've been creating some Nightmare Before Christmas books, this one is my depiction of the ebilest of Halloween Villans: Oooogie Boooogie
The corner caps and Oogie are sculpted out of fimo and painted silver on brown suede leather. The book contains 56 heavy pages - 112 sides - suitable for art mediums. The corner caps are for maximum Ebil Tome-ness

Did you sculpt the extra pieces and then glue them on, or did you bake the whole thing in the oven? D8
I want to make myself a pretty hardback sketchbook, so these are important questions.

Ah, more books! I smiled when I saw you suddenly had an avalanche of books in your gallery - you mustn't keep these little wonders hidden from the eyes of the world!
It must be so much fun to tamper with all sorts of material, leather and otherwise, to make books- for the moment my one and only (abysmal) attempt was with black leather and cardboard. I love how thick your books turn out to be; and the "metal" corners are pretty well thought up of. There are no ends to fimo xD
Lovely work!

Hehe, you watched at the right time It is quite fun. One freedom I love about bookbinding is that even when it doesn't turn out like you expected, there's this pride of making something as tangible and wise as this. Drawings, when they don't turn out right, can be rather disheartening =\
Thickness really does add to the charm of a book.
