My love for this comic is diminishing quickly. We wait for three weeks - three weeks - to get this? This page is definitely below the normal quality I would expect of Tessa. The page is hard to focus on, doesn't flow, and is hard to understand. And the over saturation on {...}'s think-boxes bugs the crap out of me. Hanna is completely irreplaceable, but if I keep getting disappointment like this I might not come back.
Please, Tessa, I'm begging you. Don't let me lose faith in you. Find an updating schedule, stick to it, and get your groove back.
I'm going to really miss this comic if I have to say good-bye.

Agreed with ~drawn-by-Linzee with one slight addition- the kind of obligation your comment presumes is only present when you are paying for the work. Since Hanna is free to view, Tessa is really only responsible to herself and her publishers for how quickly it progresses, and there's no real reason (like there would be for a comic that required a subscription) for anyone to 'say goodbye' to it simply on the basis of slow updates. These comics should be treated like any other submission on DA- just be happy when artists you like update.

I'm sorry, in hindsight my comment seemed a bit entitled.
It's just been very sad to see the updating of Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name slow to an almost complete stop. I have complete faith in Tessa Stone as an artist and a writer, what she puts out is a beautiful piece of work.
I get very emotionally attached to fiction, but comics in particular. The art of story telling is something I find distinctly fascinating and unique, and if something as wonderful as HINABN dies completely, I'll find it sad in a very personal way. It's going to hurt. I really don't want to see this comic vanish.
I realize Tessa is not my personal comic-producing-robot, and I apologize to her, you, and everyone else who read my comment for the entitled air with which I typed.
With an addition, for your addition:
I do make an effort to support artists I care about, and with that have been paying for HINABN, with the monthly donations and later purchases out of the 4DE. While my earlier post was mostly referring to my (somewhat illogical yet unstoppable) emotional ties to HINABN, "saying good-bye" would also entail I stop buying.
Again, I apologize for my earlier post. While I realize it's a lame excuse, I was having a really, really bad day.

It's not really a lame excuse- everyone has bad days, and taking them out on the internet is easy. Your comment also makes more sense when 'saying goodbye' is in the context of the comic dying, as you meant it, rather than as you leaving the comic because of slow but continuing updates.
Also, thanks for your reply- Not that I really needed an apology, but I am really glad to know that it was simply a comment typed in a bad mood, not a troll or someone who really feels that way about comic artists. Hope you have better days in the future. :3

i didn't mean to sound like i was flaming you, we've all had bad days, and i cry like a baby when my fav artists don't post XD but when the day ends, we can read a comic, go 'yaaaaay', and then hop to something else to entertain us, and be all 'yaaaaaaay' again, and happy joy holding hands all that hippie stuff. .3.

Constructive critism is one thing, but take it easy. It's your own fault, not hers, if you loose faith in a comic. That's all this is. a comic. pictures and dialogue to entertain you for the few seconds it takes to read. if you don't care for it or have issues with the artist and whatever in her life is preventing her from regular updates, then please, move to the next thing to preoccupy your mind. Try to understand this isn't the solitary reason for her existance. she's allowed to have a life too, so cut her some slack. And i mean this is a calm manner, i'm not trying to start a war here

I don't think what this person had to say was idiocy, afterall they do have a right to speak their mind. I just feel that there's a fine line between constructive critism that'll help the artist with her work, and critiquing her personal schedule, in an attempt to force her to update. Maybe Tess needed a break, she may have other things going on, who knows. that's her own personal life, separate from online comic strips.
