LOOK WHAT I FOUND. Hiding in my photobucket!It's me trying out a new style. HOW INTERESTING.
Not really. Anyways. Completely cut out vector look just for shits and giggles and I was bored one day.
Carol and Lauren are mine. AND THEY'RE BOTH BOYS WITH GIRL NAMES DAMNIT.
For a new comic I'm working on (haven't abandoned UL&K so don't ask. yes i'm looking at you =_
because I have ADD and too many characters/ideas in my head rolling around at once. You can't tell here, but Lauren's actually DEAD. Spooky.

My sentiments are echoed in nearly all of these comments but there are two things I'd like to add:
1. I have always loved how you accentuate the fingerprint on characters at times. It is most certainly NOT a detail one sees regularly yet everyone has a different one!
2. Stiff Kittens is a VERY GOOD SONG!! Blaqk Audio, yes!

It's nice to see somebody else who knows how to use vectors properly. I find a lot of people's vector work looks cheap (or it's probably just another realistic portrait), but these look nice and professional. Great work!

I'm glad you dig the style! I did use Illustrator. CS3. And almost blew my own brains out cos they made the gradient option freaking RETARDED in CS3. MY GOD.

That style kinda reminds me of these Word clip-arts. But in a good way. 8D;; And Illustrator just rocks my socks. I wish I had more time on my hands...
Lauren severely reminds me of FGSFDS while Carol looks as if he wants to beat Lauren with this shiny new cluebat he has got there.

Illustrator is awesome, but CS3 is kinda butt. I mean, the gradient tool is just such a piece of crap. I don't know why they changed it.

FGSFDS is practically the caption of someone pointing up with his index finger and therefore looking as if he or she is going to say something very important. See the images here -> [link] for shining examples.
Oy, they changed it? How? I still have CS2, just got started with gradients (because I'm slow and needed your picture to even get the idea) and I can't think of much they could have been trying to improve. It's all right as soon as you know how to get the handles you don't need to disappear.
