A ink drawing I did while I was on lunch at work I think? One day.It was the first time I actually drew the zombie guy that you now may recognize from the Hanna comic. I inked it with this pretty awesome pen a regular gave to me. Free pens!! Rocksome.
His ... hammer thing eventually got turned into a croquet mallet in my head, or something similar for later times. But it also sort of settled the style I was going to draw the comic in, because previously, Hanna was drawn like this :

Hanna's big ears are adorable in those sketches :] And I loooove the zombie guy's wing-like white hairs on the sides of his face. SO CUTE! and both their clothes are awesome.

I absolutely love the way you style things. It's so quirky and bold. Even though there aren't a lot of backgrounds in the panels for the comic, it's still very eye-catching and dynamic. This is a reflection of that as well, as even without color, the drawing has a lot of visual interest. Fantastic job! I gotta ask you though, when you're busy inking, do you weight the lines right off the bat or start with an outline and build the lines up? Also, how do you decide where to place the weight? I could stare at this for hours and it will continue to befuddle me. Anyway, I love the comic so far, and keep up the great work!

When I ink digitally, I pick a really fat brush and do the line weight through pen pressure.
When I ink traditionally, I build it up. As for what to pick, Im fairly random, just doing what I think looks good. Used to drive my college professor nuts, cos it wasn't logical. Most people put it where shadows would be, but I just....sort of try to fill it in where I think the lines would go if they were....alive? *Weird*
