Semi-doodle.Something that I kind of needed. Something about the song makes me mellow out and a friend pointed out that it reminded her of Hanna a little and I kinda agree. One of the main reasons why I kind of love writing about Hanna is that he screws up and keeps going. He also gets beat down and keeps going. He reminds me to do the same, kinda? I guess.

I confess one of the points of Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name is to tell a story about someone who really doesn't get it right all the time even though he tries pretty hard. Simple simple.
Obviously he's really not been shot in the back a million times with arrows. It's a visual joke haha. Shrugging off flesh wounds. He can be friends with the black knight.

Firstly, because I love your creations, and this one is no exception (the way you make everything look dynamic even tough Hanna is just standing in place is really awesome + the repetition of the graphically simplified band aid is really neat + everything else : D), and secondly, because the moment I read the words in the balloon, "Float on" started playing in my head. : D

Ye gods, I really love this, I do. I've always loved your style and the expressiveness you put in every character, but even just getting some insight into the why's makes the art that much better. And, really, the fact that Hanna just keeps on trucking really makes the story flow for the comic. Makes me admire him a little, really - if only more people were like that.

I guess I've picked up on that a little in the story so far. I think that's the big thing that makes Hanna so admirable--not only is he adorable in his optimism, but I think that deep down inside, everyone wants to be such a trouper.

The theme is a solid one. No one likes making mistakes, and sometimes the weight gets pretty heavy if you let it. Keeping going even you don't seem to have a reason to is tough.

OHGODYES. MOAR HANNA. I love this image so much, and that song is SO HANNA. Absolutely amazing, you did such an awesome job with the visual cues and everything. Your graphic touch never ceases to amazing me!
First i have to say that the background really amuses me, it's very sketchy and vague. But that works, because it gives enough visual information without being downright OPPRESSIVE. Which i always find amazing to see! Also i love the brush overlays or whatever of cloud...things you put over the background, which also helps Hannaface's stick out more to the foreground yet at the same time never distracts from foreground or background too much! You're my HERO. Also the X marks on the sidewalk= win!
Now onto Hanna, Fffff why is that boy so goddamn precious? Really he just looks so comfortable with the visualcue!Arrows in his back, as he says the lyrics, because that's so him. He'll continue and chug along, because he's a persistent lil bastard. But OUR persistent lil bastard
