As soon as I saw The Guild I knew I had to make Codex. This is the second costume I attempted and my first sewing project. I made the headband out of gold wire and hot glued the craft gems on there. The shoulders, wrists, and knee pads are craft foam covered with fabric and lined with ribbon. The shirt was a control top I purchased. I made the bra cups literally from cutting up a cheap bra and then covering it with the fabric I needed and attaching it to the shirt. Luckily all of my seams were hidden by the corset which I purchased online and added the gold trim with some ribbon and hot glue. The center piece on the corset was made with felt and covered with the appropriate fabric. The skirt was a simple circle skirt (even though it was my first sewing attempt I wouldn’t have called it simple then lol!) It was made with 3 different materials, a white satin, a sparkly organza, and a sheer organza. I found the shoes at a local payless and dyed them darker with brown leather dye. The leg stripes are just a simple ribbons body taped to my tights .
