Drawn for Dalek week for the "LIES" category, over a long period of time and finally finished today as I listened to Behemoth for the ......eh I lost count how many times I listened to it. Originally I'd thought to call it Secrets but then heard the quote as I was listening and couldn't resist. Could not for the life of me decide what dear Deryn was wearing at first.

Timing is something that might happen after Goliath when she is working for the London Zoological Society with Alek.
Sooo....
Why is she wearing a German aviator's uniform?
How did she get that wound on her face?
Why the LZS's goggles?
Where did Bovril get that key?
And whatever shall she use it for?
And who is she telling to be quiet?
Your guess is as good as mine as she's not telling.

Inspired by WW1 German aviator uniforms found online, the original BRILLIANT illustrator, and the lovely bano--kagi in her simple photograph She looks so darned much like how I imagine a real life Deryn that I guiltlessly stole the lines of her face. (maybe a little guilt). Thank you oh so very much

I has a new scanner and it is so nice ...now I figured out how to use this Clanker contraption X_x
This is not a Work in Progress so much as an Artist in Progress. Sometimes I can't draw things the way they are exactly in my head. This would be a case of reaching quite close but not exactly managing it. Sigh......
Mayhap it will get updated someday with a better version.
