Description
"Dune" fanart.Fremen riding a sandworm on Arrakis.
Several people asked for a Dune tribute, so here it is.
I've made a coub with authentic OST from old Dune adventure game.

Thank you! Originally i intended to make sand clouds and such, but they made picture too noisy IMO, so i dropped them. It was something like this psv4.vk.me/c612822/u13114/docs…

Speaking to my high school self. A good series of book though by the time I got the last book I was just... well I had enough.
edit: I also just discovered that there was a book between God-Emperor of Dune and Chatperhouse: Dune... which would explain why I was so confused when I started reading it.

I couldn't force myself to read books by Brian Herbert. They just feel wrong. For me, everything after Leto II decides to become one with sandtrout, feels wrong.

Yeah that is where things admittedly started to go wonky. Interesting, but weird.
Though Frank Herbert wrote everything up until Chapterhouse. I haven't read any of the rest.

I mean, that i loved the atmosphere of Dune. Arrakis, sand, people living there, having a totally different culture, than any other. Fighting against oppression and all... Heavy scientific base put into the story, everything looks in place. And later comes all that "Where are we going, save mankind, sacrifice yourself for the greater good" and all that stuff... And Duncan Idaho becomes main character? I mean, really?

I can see that. Often times the place that loses me in some fiction is when they start moving away from the settings that seemed the most interesting to explore and learn about and right when we are given more morsels to chew on we are brisked away by plot.'
Its like going on a field trip to an Art museum and only getting 5 minutes for each piece!
