Naive - "Don't worry it'll be alright."
Ayize is not well rounded when it comes to other's feelings. He likes to be able to cheer other's up but isn't so good at it when it comes to talking with the person because it makes him look naive. Besides other's feelings, he's very oblivious to the world around him and tends to forget things are there and says something that strikes him as a naive person.
Big Heart - "Things'll look up sooner than you think! Just look at me!"
Ayize always thinks that his heart is way to big to not be shared with others so he tends to try to stick his head in other people's business. He's an awfully sweet person but sometimes that sweetness will get on other's nerves.
Inner Anger - "Don't you ever say that. You don't ever want to end up like me..."
Ayize hates himself because of his past, and silently wishes to fix what he's done. He tries to cover himself in a self deluding happiness that tries to drive away the inner anger within himself. He may just need someone to help him drive away that anger, and be truly happy.
My Birth Place
"Be silent Adisa! Your brother is opening his eyes..." A sweet soft tone filled Ayize's ears, as a welcoming lick went across his forehead. "Mrrr!" Ayize couldn't yet speak a word, so that made his mother chuckled softly. "Open your eyes Ayize, there's a fun place I want you to see!" Adisa, his sister said in soft but excited voice. Ayize slowly opened his eyes, adjusting patiently to the light of the outside. "His eyes are blue!" Adisa jumped up and down. "So what," Ekon, Ayize's older brother said in a rather grumpy voice. "Ekon, don't be mean," Ayize's mother defended her new son. "Eh-ehkon?" Ayize muffled softly, stumbling over his own voice. Ekon's eyes sparked some interest, but when he looked at his mother he put back on his tough guy act and made a 'tsk' noise and padded away. "Don't go far!" Their mother yelled after him, then looked at Adisa,"Didn't you want to show Ayize this cool place?" Adisa grinned,"Can I?" and her mother nodding smiling. "Come on Ayize! It'll be fun!" Adisa looked at Ayize looking up at her all wide eyed. "Go on silly," His mother gently picked him up by the scruff and set him on his feet, leaving his wobbling but standing. "Momma!" Ayize said innocently, remembering the name his older siblings had called her when his eyes were closed. "Yes sweety?" His mother cooed. "I wanna stay wit you!" He said in a high pitched voice. His mother just chuckled and nudged his rump with her nose,"Go on young one, I bet you'll have more fun with your sister than with me."
Adisa used this moment to drag Ayize away from their mother," Come on Ayize, it'll be fun I promise!" Ayize turned away from his mother and to his sister,"Promise?" He asked and she nodded,"Promise!"
Some Siblings Are Better Left Off As Strangers
"Ayize!" Ekon's voice called to him in his sleep and he lift up his head, blinking off his sleep. "Yeah Ekon?" He said sheepishly. Ayze was a year old now, he knew the land like the back of his paw and he had grown quite a lot. His brother on the other hand was a year and then some, having more weight than his younger brother. Night was at their door steps, and Ekon was calling his brother, Ayize, "Come here!" Ayize lifted from his grass bed and stretched quickly as to not upset his moody brother and padded over to him.
"What do you want?" Ayize asked, raising his brow at his brother who was sitting on the side of the hill they lived on and watched the sky. "No need to sound so brash Mr.Speech Impediment," Ekon replied, giving his brother a mocking look. Ayize had a speech impediment on pronouncing his r's and his brother took his fun and made fun of him for it. "I wanted you to see something," Ekon smiled, turning away from Ayize. "What is it?" Ayize replied, looking slightly bright. "This!" Ekon pushed his brother down the hill with strong force. Ayize tumbled down the hill side, hitting rocks and broken logs, he was unable to brace for anything. Ekon raced down the hill laughing, thinking his way of having fun was hilarious. Ayize's fall stopped abruptly upon a large outcropping of rocks. "Ayize! you alright?" Ekon asked, his laugh fading away as soon as he realized his younger brother might be hurt.
Ekon went to the outcropping of the rock and found Ayize's broken body laying there. "Oh no..." Ekon panicked as soon as he saw his brother. Thinking that he killed him, he ran away, probably going to go tell a lie to their mother that Ayize accidentally fell down the hill and died. Ayize was still alive, just barely though. A cheetah that was outside of it's own territory had seen Ayize's fall and ran to go help. "Child! Child!" The feline called to Ayize as he laid there and finally was able to lift Ayize up onto his back. He carried the younger cheetah to a place he knew would be able to heal him. The Tribe of Crowded Water. Ayize awoke in a den of sorts and was frightened greatly. He wasn't home and he wasn't able to yell at his brother.
"Calm child, what is your name?" A grumpy yet soft voice talked to him. "Ayize..." He said, his fur sticking up, but he was in to much pain to move any. "It's a miracle you're alive Ayize, you only broke a few ribs, but I should be able to fix them right up, and you could return home if you'd like," The older cheetah spoke to him. "Okay..." He said softly.
The Big Decision
Ayize bet that his mother would be looking all over from him, or his sister would be terrified. But he felt more at home in this new place. It's been three months since the incident happened with his brother pushing him off the hill, and he's become great friends with the other young cheetahs in this group called the Tribe of Crowded Water. "I'll need to at least say goodbye to my family before I decide to stay here," He said to the old healer that had taken care of him and grew close to him. "Alright kid, sorry we can have them also join the Tribe..." The healer replied in a gruff voice. "It's alright, See you after I return!" Ayize smiled and headed out of camp and towards his family's hill.
Ayize silently hoped his mother didn't decide to leave their home. It took an hour walk to get to hill but he was finally here. Anxiety built up within his chest as he saw his brother and his sister playing on the top of the hill. He hike up the hill, his anxiety growing. "Ekon! Adisa!" He called, hope filling his chest. Ekon looked like he had seen a ghost, and Adisa stopped playing and stared at her younger brother and stood shocked. Ayize felt something wrong, why did they look like that? "What's wrong..?" He asked softly, his anxiety making him ever more scared. "You're dead!" Adisa yelled, tears rushing down her face, making Ayize's mother's ears twitch and she soon joined them in shock. "I'm not dead!" Ayize yelled back, "Ekon pushed me down the hill and a cat took me to a place to get me better!" He yelled furiously and stared at his brother. "You almost killed me brother!"
Ekon flinched as his mother's eyes stared down at him,"You tried to kill Ayize..." Ekon panicked just as much as his did the night when he saw Ayize broken on that rock. "I don't know what kind of twisted story he spun, but he pushed me off the hill and I hit a ton of the rocks and branches," Ayize spoke loudly, anger filling his voice. "Ekon, how could you do it?" Adisa said softly to her brother. "It was supposed to be a joke! He wasn't suppose to get hurt!" Ekon tried to defend himself but it did nothing to the situation. "Go away Ayize!" Ekon yelled, his voice filled with anger. "I never liked you! You took everything away from me!" Ayize with drew from his fight and stared at Ekon. "but I thought..." He said softly. "You thought wrong! Leave!" Ekon yelled, but his mother cuffed him on his head, cutting his ears. "Don't leave Ayize!" Too late, for he was already running as fast as he could away from the brother that did not love him.
Wishing It Couldn't Be
Ayize was a great learner, he grew from his childhood experience, learning to grow from the worst to the best, trying to imagine that if he became one of the best hunters that he'll be loved by his brother. He was loved by his childhood friends and some of the older cheetahs, though he still felt he should have left on better terms with his mother and sister, at least they knew he was alive. He wished he could have died on that rock and the cheetah that found him would have left him there to die and be discovered by his mother. But he's tried hard to drown out his past with the future, and trained to be a good hunter, and so he is.
