Thanks, the green is just a running stitch in like a silk thread (its vintage, so I'm not sure of the fiber content but I loved the mellowed colour). The trunk, that's a chain stitch, and there's some blanket stitch with a perle cotton all around (to hold it together).. I sewed some celery coloured glass beads unto it too (that I found in a parking lot, actually.. I think it used to be some sort of ornament - like a inexpensive necklace or eyeglass holder or something, it was broken and had been left behind..)

I haunt thrift stores. I've collected buttons for years. I got a lot from my grandmother, and I had a friend in the rag and bone trade who used to give me ruined finery for my work - the buttons would all end up in the bags.

I have TOO many really, its gotten ridiculous. (I have a real problem with throwing things away -- I'm always like Wait, I might NEED that sometime, lol) I've been selling 'em as 'supplies' at Etsy and eBay for like $3 a bag.

Thank you, I'm so excited about it (I'm such a geek, huh?)

I'm tired, but I'm too nervous to relax -- my pain in the butt kids are even more of Pain in the Butt than usual, Emmy threw herself ('fell' is really wrong word in this situation) off her bed and broke her arm in three places, and its Mondo Expensive (financially and emotionally, 'cause you know like now I have to follow her around with a cushion 'cause I'm in MY BABY IS SICK mode and all freaked out, and she's such a Monkey, what if she cracks her head open tomorrow? And Jack, he's soooo Jealous that Emmy has a broken arm, HE WANTS ONE TOO! (what is wrong with these kids?) so I have to keep catching him, 'cause He keeps leaping off stuff...)
