Feels like a cop-out to suddenly imply she was "always harboring these feelings". Would have been nice to actually SEE some implications of that in the previous panels, especially the montage of her and Flash dating.

remember, most, if not all, of this comic has actually been from Twilight's perspective. We only really saw from Sunset's unique perspective at the very end of Chapter 2. Anything else based off Sunset has basically been "world building" to show what she's doing, not what she's thinking.

Sunset and flash’s relationship was never the focus of this story. There’s such a thing as over-showing just to prove a point than to actually contribute to what is a - keep in mind - rather short story. If SS was volumes and volumes of work, then sure, shot it off. It’s not the end of the world

I get that, I'm just saying that from a storytelling perspective even a small amount of detail could have made this work better as it stands now it feels rushed.

First, Sunset was looking away and feeling awkward when they were sharing the smoothies in Sparkling Shimmer - Ch1 - The Lead Up - 13 .
I may not have conveyed this correctly at the time since I was just starting and still learning.
Second, I get it, you're a fan of Flashshimmer, but that's no excuse to be commenting like this.
It's not the first time you are against a page and trying to push 'your point of view' even though everyone is commenting against yours.
Third, if you don't like the pages/the comic or where the story is going, I respect that, but please, stop telling me my story is poorly written just cause you aren't getting Flashshimmer.
I also suggest stopping on reading this comic if it annoys you that much.

It takes more than a single a side glance to convey the "I'm not really into him" emotion, considering that on top of all that she seemed to be relatively happy with him.
I'm not trying to push anything, I'm simply pointing out that if you wanted to really make it feel natural, you could have focused a little more on it instead of just putting it out there near the end and barely acknowledging it otherwise.
I genuinely do like the comic, but it has its flaws, the pacing being one of them.
