Description
I spent an extremely long time on this considering that it's only a not-even-4-second loop animation. And I'm still nowhere near happy with the movement. Eh, well. My work is never really done in animation.
pencil, crayon and watercolor, 47 frames total I think??

This is wonderful! The flames are absolutely amazing. The turnaround is very nice. One suggestion would be affecting the body with the energy of the foot when he puts it down after stepping from the ashes. Show more of a shift of weight with a little bit of a ripple of energy, because right now he's unaffected by his own weight shift. This is quite amazing, I must say, though. The flames, especially.

Very beautiful and wonderful concept. The movement is rather smooth (and I know how hard 2D is). For a first shot, he's very nice and stays on-model very well (until he's not supposed to, of course).

My favorite frames have to be 38 and 39 where it's already engulfing the raptor. I think this is an excellent animation, considering it's all hand drawn.

the original animation was photographed individual drawings through a software called dragonframe. Then I imported the .mov into photoshop and saved it as a gif.
