Description
The light was too bright,So she hid from the sun
In her dark palace
& retrieved the gun.
In silence she stood there,
Eyes closed, holding her breath,
Finger on the trigger,
Waiting for death.
Weighing the decision,
She raised the weapon to her temple.
Mind over matter?
She wished it were that simple.
Then she pulled the trigger.
Fired the shot.
The gun fell from her fingers,
Its barrel still hot.
And in that split second
Before she died,
I swear I saw tears
In my angel's eyes.

Thanks. You should really be thanking my friend, not me. She wrote the poem & asked me to post it on my page for her.
