Description One morning just like any other,
my alarm clock woke me with a fright.
I groaned & crawled out from under the covers,
wishing it was still night.
The blinds were closed, everything was dark,
I couldn't see a thing.
In reaching to shut off the blaring noise,
I accidentally sent the device flying.

Getting dressed quite sleepily & staggering down the stairs,
I took a step & found myself sailing through the air.
Tumbling down the walkway & hitting every step,
I started becoming afraid to look & see what could happen next.
Could I burn my hand on spilled coffee?
Will I be able to redeem this morning at all?
These questions & more raced through my mind as I continued my awful fall.

As I reached the end of my painful journey
and hit the ground with a crack,
I pulled myself up to my feet, still wondering if I could bounce back.
A distant blaring filled my ears as I woke up with a fright.
Why, the day hasn't even begun!
I no longer wish it were still night.

I love the creative story. I love the twist that it was a dream and you end with the humorous line "I no longer wish it were still night."

Thank you. I didn't really have an inspiration for this. It was just touch-and-feel for a while until I got a flow. That sounded incredibly wierd.

not all its not weird it sound like a bad day but i like it i write poems too about being sad and depressed
