Description Do you ever feel
like you're a complete failure at life?
Your grades are in the toilet.
No one respects you for who you are & what you do.
You have no romantic life.
No one would care if you disappeared forever?

We've all had those days.
Every single one of us.
We want so bad to be noticed, to be appreciated again.
You'd be willing to do anything to make it happen.

Do you ever want to be
The popular kid?
The sports star?
The one all the girls chase after?
The cool kid?
The one everyone wants to be around?
To finally have some recognition?

We've all had those days.
Even me.
And you.
And you.
And all of you.
Don't feel like you have to act out
to get noticed.
We can all work together.
To make this world a place
where everyone is appreciated for who they are.

So who are you?
I don't know.
You tell me.

Wow I really love this! I've never been popular (because I'm shy) and I've never tried to be, but it would be nice to have lots of friends I adore the last three lines, they come out so powerfully, but I was a bit confused. The "you tell me" part sounds like as if you are encouraging the reader to show themselves, to let people know who they are, that they exist, but the stanza before that said, "Don't feel like you have to act out to get noticed." which I thought was opposite of the last stanza, or am I misunderstanding this?
Anyways, great work of literature! Something we can all relate to c:

Wow, thanks so much! I kinda just wrote that in one go after I was feeling really depressed one day after school. I've never been Mr. Popular myself, but I've got a good group of 4-5 friends I really like hanging out with. As for the being confused, the poem is saying you just need to be who you are. The last line is me asking the reader who they think they are. As for that line, I was talking about how bully victims sometimes kill themselves so that people will notice & appreciate them again.
