Breathtaking .
The colors and the LIGHT !
U generated some shadowy shilouettes there if my eyes don'y play tricks on me ! Definitely not hell 2me.
Reminds me rather the following lines:
"Thank you oh Lord
For the white blind light
A city rises from the sea
I have a splitting headache
From which the future is made" (Jim Morrison)
It conveys a similar feeling 2me.

how do you get that wonderful wavy-ness on the distant wires?

It's has something do with physics and the reflection of light through the lens. But really it's just the way it's focused, the blurring causes a slight distortion on an already distorted wire.

1. Lens type 2. Aperture.
I used a 28mm prime lens. Zoom lens produce weird bokeh. [link] The aperture was set as low as it can I believe it was at f 2.8. If you have a nice lens and you practice getting close shots you will get some nice results.
