Description
Theoretical next-generation Saturn V configuration vaguely based on the Saturn MLV and V-3 concepts. Powered by five F-1A engines and with the fins removed, as well as S-IC and S-II stretched to include more propellant. Certain launches would also be equipped with four UA-1205 boosters, which would potentially be among the heaviest space launches in history.
Saturn VB rockets in varying configurations would launch each component of the Ares I and II missions, the first and only United States Mars missions launched in the 20th century.
