The perks of this kind of design is not only can it be simple, but numerous. Really, a fleet of these unleashed would be a nightmare. Like a fusion of the Tarkin and Thrawn doctrine.

If only they based the Xyston off the Pellaeon Star Destroyer and removed the planet-killing weapon altogether, because the roadmap for this originally included the Eclipse from the old Expanded Universe.

everyone be sayin that they wanted a new star destroyer but imagine living three decades on a rock that is basically beyond forgiving; the final order mofos just outfitted their remaining ISDs so they dont have to go death star but even bigger

The issue is the fact that all of us Star Wars fans wanted this new epic star destroyer, but we got a larger imp-1 with an awesome death cannon on the front. Love the line art though!

The crime of it is I don't even hate this design. I'm just galled that someone can have Industrial Light and Magic at their disposal-- perhaps some of the most eminently creative and talented fantasy artists on the planet, worth billions and billions of dollars, to make a new class of Star Destroyer for a brand new* villain fleet in the final film in the Skywalker Saga... and decide to use, literally, the Imperial I, BuT BiGgEr, and with a Big Mean Death Cannon on the belly. Jail time should be served.
Great fuckin lineart though. Very good greebling and I love the attention to detail on the batteries in particular
