Description
Scattered sparingly all over the universe exist vast alien worlds and civilizations. Over a very long time (and some divine intervention) most of the cosmic denizens live in a time of relative stability. War and peace are normal.
Thanks to a vast industry of communication, Travel between worlds and even galaxies is possible via a variety of technologies. from F.T.L vessels, Gates, and stranger means, the stars are connected.
There are many places in the cosmos that are both dangerous and/or illegal to travel to. The most infamous is the Dark Sector: a large area of one particular galaxy that was discovered to be the ground zero of magic dying across the universe. all known trials to go there end in death.
Unknown to the universe at large, Earth lies at the Dark Sector’s heart.
