So the February monthly challenge for DeviantUniverse has been revealed, where a powerful cult has risen from the ashes of the Omega . Seeing as anything to do with Omega is usually a collaborative affair between MadMonkeyDane and myself, I ended up designing the final look for the robes of the cultists and their leader.This guy is not a front-liner and he doesn't have a DU profile yet, so he shouldn't be showing up directly in other people's pages yet. Still, I wanted to post this to show you guys a more complete look of this new villain.

It feels like a slightly asian inspired theme (probably mostly the color choices and maybe the mask design). However, it stands on its own as well.
There are just so many great things (and a lot of omega symbol shapes) as to how you executed this design. I really like the mask design, alone, though. Personally, I would hope his face is never shown. I'm just a sucker for mysterious ambiguity there, but of course, that's for you and MadMonkeyDane to decide.
Somehow, I like and appreciate the fact that underneath the robe, the outfit underneath still makes the leader seem decently battle-ready? Great job. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the input. Given that we have quite a number of villains who wear long robes, it took a while to research different kinds of ceremonial robes to make the design work, especially the mask that needed to resemble Omega himself somewhat. The under-suit was designed more for comfort and slightly obscuring the body shape, but looking at it again I can see a resemblance to combat gear. I wonder if the leader gets hot wearing the whole getup.
