Description
Some strange looking roadside flower I decided to stop and take a picture of one day. A little dangerous considering it was a major bypass and the flowers only grew a few inches from the road, lol. But I did my best to get a good angle despite the danger. The wind was blowing pretty strong at the time, which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, there was really no way to avoid capturing the power lines in the background. That's really my only complaint about this shot.Photograph taken in Aiken, SC.

I forgot to add...I love the composition of this picture...I like the main focus a little off the center...gives power and scope to this image.

Beautiful picture of an unusual wild flower; I would love to know what this is.
I thought this shot was out of your flower bed, what a surprise to find that it is growing wild.lol The color is so very vivid, the plant so crisp and clear, as to make it seem almost accessible to pluck out of your picture.
As for the power lines, I know what you mean, but in this image I was so focused on the flowers, that I didn't even notice the power line until I read your comment. You should have left that comment out.
Never-the-less...they do not take away from the beauty displayed in your image.
it!!!!

LOL. Yes, I sometimes wonder why I even bother pointing out things I don't like about my own photographs. Most of the time nobody else even notices. I guess it's just the perfectionist in me. We're our own worst critics, after all!
But thank you for compliments on the photo. It truly is a beautiful flower, one which I don't recall seeing in my area anywhere else. Wish I knew what type it is.

You are welcome. It is a gorgeous flower and photo.
I know exactly what you mean, and I think in your case you are overly critical of your own work. What I see in your work, is a reflection of your personality, perhaps something that you choose not to show in the mundane and everyday world, and that is of a very sensitive person, and by sensitive I mean emotionally, artistically,- a slip under your protective and projected emotional armor. It kind of reflects a deep private person...that is my impression. I do love your work and the feelings that you project into it.
