This is not technically a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, but rather a prototype design for Sonic himself. This Rabbit, often called "Feels" by fans, wasn't originally intended to roll around at the speed of sound, but rather use his ears to pick up and throw objects at enemies, a trait that would later be granted to a Star Child from another Sega franchise. The Rabbit would make his grand playable debut in Sonic Superstars as a costume for Sonic. But perhaps, in another timeline, Feels would be the grand heroic mascot that carries Sega into the future...
