When Link pulls the Master Sword from the pedestal in the Temple of Time, he is put into a deep slumber, awakening seven years later. He is tasked by the Sage Rauru to rescue the other five Sages from the clutches of Ganondorf's monsters in order to save Hyrule from his clutches. Along the way, he is guided by the mysterious Sheik, who teaches him songs that will transport him to different locations. During his travels, he even travels between his past and future to solve puzzles, meet people and access new areas that are otherwise inaccessible to him. This has earned him the moniker; Hero of Time.
